Ingrid Geerlings studied flute with Koos Verheul at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, where she received her Performing Musician diploma in 1997 with a 10 with distinction. Besides her job as solo flutist of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, she is flutist of the AskoSchönberg Ensemble and the music collective LUDWIG (Grammy award 2018) of which she is also co-founder.
As a soloist she has performed with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. During the LUDWIG Europe tour she performed solo among others in the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, OJAI Festival in California and in the Royal Concertgebouw about which she received many raving reviews in the national and foreign press. Her sense of timing, atmosphere and timbre have been praised.
Every year she is a soloist and teacher at the Orlando Festival (Kerkrade, NL).
In 2017 her CD Any Way The Wind Blows was released and received laudatory reviews in the Volkskrant: ” one stays glued to the speakers”.
