The Project

A musical spectacle inspired by the Paris salons of the 1920s at the Amsterdam Canal Festival.

On 22 August LUDWIG, together with Rosanne Philippens, will present a magnificent programme with a small number of performers as part of the Amsterdam Canal Festival – a partnership they have both long dreamed of. Inspired by the Paris salons of the 1920s, this concert promises to be yet another unique spectacle!

The violinist Rosanne Philippens has been nominated for the 2014 Canal Festival Prize, but has won several awards at home and abroad in recent years. In 2014 she was the soloist with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Strings conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Dutch national youth symphony orchestra conducted by Stefan Asbury. The young violinist has unparallelled drive, and never avoids a challenge – making her LUDWIG’s ideal ‘accomplice’.
